OVERCOMING A LACK OF CONFIDENCE AND UNWORTHINESS

We all want to feel confident but there are some things we do not feel we are capable of doing, at least not doing well. Having spent more than 30 years in management, the Bible made it very clear that whatever we do, as Christian believers, it is not what we do but it’s the Holy Spirit working through us.

II Corinthians 3:4 – 6a – “Such confidence we have through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. He has made us competent.” When we become spiritually mature, we realize that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. We must believe that the Holy Spirit gives us gifts of the Spirit to help us accomplish our many tasks that we face.

Having coached in high school, you teach the basic fundamentals of any sport. I found that I had an advantage in the workplace because the Bible told me the basics of being in management. This is why it is so important for Christians to pray for wisdom, a discerning spirit and faith to communicate with God prior to making most decisions.

In the Old Testament, kings and prophets were always asking God in making decisions. King David would ask God before any military attack. If God said yes, he attacked with confidence knowing the outcome. Prophets were always asking God for guidance and direction. No major decision would ever be made without asking God. We have been given the Holy Spirit to give us similar guidance in making decisions. I pray daily asking God to help me make decisions when investing for clients. There is no doubt that I have received guidance, not audible, but from results.

God given wisdom provides a person with common sense. You would think that everyone, to some degree, has common sense. Most should know that more is accomplished by being friendly, pleasant, sociable, courteous and adaptable. One must know how to handle difficult problems when they happen. We must understand how to motivate other people and one’s self. Common sense realizes the importance of building sound and lasting working relationships.

Common sense should tell one that hard work is important. There is just too many who seem to believe that the world owes them a living. We are measured by the amount and quality of the work we accomplish. You do not become a professional athlete without tremendous amounts of physical preparation. I believe wisdom that produces common sense gave me an advantage in motivating people and making decisions.

The Holy Spirit gives the gift of faith. Faith provides confidence and the willingness to take risks. So many people fear making decision or trying new things. If a believer has true faith, they believe that they could move mountains. It is so important to have the confidence and a positive mental attitude. A good employee is one you can give a project to and believe that they can do it and get it right. Too often, people are unwilling to take the responsibility without detailed instructions. Faith and confidence provides creativity. You do not find too many founders of companies unwilling to take risks. In fact, in most cases this is the difference between those who are successful and those who are not.

It is extremely important to have a discerning spirit. We must know the difference between what is right and what is wrong. We must be able to discern the difference between a team player and a person that demoralizes other employees. We must also be capable of eliminating those, in a Christian way, who are not productive. I believe the Holy Spirit will assist in making these types of decisions.

Matthew 17:20 – “He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

I was promoted eight times throughout the northwest and Nevada. I had an agreement with God that He would not let me go to a job I was not capable of handling. After a few months I felt complete confidence in a new position. My last promotion, we had as many as 450 employees. My confidence came from believing God opened the door and allowed me the opportunity. He would not allow me to be promoted to something He would not help me do. God loves me enough that He did not want me to fail unless it was to prepare me for something greater.

Feeling worthy and confident, being able to discern came from God. My commitment was to have a personal relationship with God and be totally acceptable to His commands and His ways. God used me in His ministry and used the workplace to prepare me. I also studied Scripture daily and spent time each day communicating with Him. Any success I may have had, I realize was God’s doing.

(In college my ability to write term papers and essays was just a little better than zero. If you would have told me I would write 632 Christian blogs, you would realize that I have had help from above. This proves to me that God wants to help us.)

THE GREATEST HOPE ON EARTH IS LIVING FOREVER

If you ask the average person if they are afraid of death what do you think the response would be. It would probably depend on a person’s age, their past experiences and what they might expect from the future. We have no supporting evidence but we would suppose the greatest fear most older people have is the fear of death. The Bible promises for believers in Christ, who have received the Holy Spirit, it will be possible that they can live forever without dying, if they are raptured.

God created a perfect universe and a perfect Adam and Eve. It is possible they had an imperishable body that could have lived forever. However, when they took of the forbidden fruit, their body was subjected to death. In addition, the earth was cursed and changed. It is very possible that when Christ returns, we shall receive that imperishable body and the earth will no longer be cursed and we will live 1000 years with a different body and a different earth.

When a person dies there are two places their spirit and soul will go and that is heaven or hell. How do we know who goes where? I John 3:10 writing to Christian believers says: “This is how we will know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.”

We have been given the opportunity to live forever and God promises to give believers rewards. “For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” (John 6:40) “Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.” (II Corinthians 5:5)

John 11:25 – “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;” Christians, having received the Holy Spirit, is given God’s pledge that we will be guaranteed an inheritance that will provide eternal life. At death, Scripture assures us that we will pass directly and instantly into God’s presence. There is no delay where our soul sleeps or we are unconscious for any time. We will be in heaven with Jesus and other souls waiting for the resurrection or the rapture.

I Corinthians 15:51 & 52 – “Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.”

Once a believer dies or is raptured, meeting Christ in the air, we are given a new body that is imperishable. It will be a body provided by God and comes from heaven. It will not have the limitations or weaknesses of an earthly body made from dust that was cursed. Adam was from the earth and the imperishable body will be from heaven. Our present bodies could never endure 1000 years that Christ reigns on this earth. I Corinthians 15:53 – “For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.”

What do we know about heaven? We know very little. We know many confuse heaven with the new earth and the new heaven that God will create for believers when this old world disappears. We know that we must be saved and forgiven to get there. We will be able to recognize people as they did in Paradise. We know there will be a lot of singing and worshipping. There will be a multitude of angels in heaven. We know there will be no pain, tears, sorrow or death. We know that God and Christ are there.

Matthew 22:30 tells us there will be no marriages as we will be like angels. Luke 20:29-38 – “’Now there were seven brothers. The first one married a woman and died childless. The second one married her and then the third married her, and in the same way the seven died, leaving no children. Finally, the woman died too. Now then, at the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?’ Jesus replied: ‘The people of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are considered worthy of taking part in that age and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection. But in the account of the bush, even Moses showed that the dead rise, for he calls the Lord ‘the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive.”

We may assume heaven is a temporary holding place for the souls of believers until God’s plans are fulfilled for Christ to come back to earth to rule for a 1000 years. Under Christ’s reign on earth, we believe there will be marriages and families. After those 1000 years, we know we will be transported to a new earth and heaven that are indescribable and beautiful.

At the end of the thousand years Satan is let loose once again. Rev. 20:7 – 10 – Satan will convince millions to go to war against Christ and His people. Scripture says a fire will burn them up and the Devil and his followers will be thrown into the “Lake of Fire”. From the beginning of time, anyone whose name was not entered in the “Book of Life” was hurled into the “Lake of Fire”. This is where all non-believers will end up. (2nd Peter 3:7, 10, 12 – Luke 21:25-27 – Malachi 4:1.)

Rev: 21:1 – 4 – “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

WHAT IS THE GREATEST HOPE ON EARTH? It is to be a part of the new heaven and the new earth. To live without tears, not ever witness death again and to never have pain. Is there anything on this earth that should keep us from accepting Christ as our Savior?

ONE DAY WE WILL ALL BE JUDGED BY GOD

For those who believe in God and the Bible, realize that there will be a time when everyone who has ever lived will be judged. Some will be judged to live forever and others will be judged to die a second time. Once the church has been raptured and the end time is over, this will be the time that everyone receives judgment.

Revelation 20:11 – 15 – “And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.”

All who were not raised in the first resurrection, the non-believers, will be raised in the second one to stand at the Great White Throne Judgment and any who died sinners during the 1000 years will be there also. Jesus will judge them and this includes everyone from Cain to the 1000-year end. They will be judged and if their names are not in the Book of Life, they will be cast into the Lake of Fire.

Believers, having received the Holy Spirit, will have their names in two books. They will stand in judgment before Christ to receive a reward for their works, deeds or service. (I Corinthians 3:10 -15 and II Corinthians 5:10) In the Book of Life it has only believer’s names. The Book of Deeds, Scriptures say your deeds are being kept tract of and there is continual writing going on.

As the books are opened, every righteous believer will be judged by their deeds. Works do not save us but our works indicate our relationship with Christ. There is no indication that anyone standing before Christ’s Judgment, having their name in both books, will be cast into the Lake of Fire. Believers will be rewarded by how they handled their gifts, opportunities and responsibilities. God’s gracious gift of salvation does not free us from the requirement of faithful obedience and service. We must live each day knowing that God’s book is open. Each person will be judged by what they have done while alive on this earth.

We do not know when this will take place. Some believe it does not occur until after the 1000 years and the earth is destroyed by fire. Prior to that happening, those with their names in the Book of Life will be transferred to a new heaven and a new earth. Matthew 24:35 – “Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.” II Peter 3:7 – “And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed.” Scripture says that the heavens and the earth would be consumed by fire on the Day of Judgment when ungodly people will perish.

Romans 14:12 – “Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.”

Unbelievers who stand before Christ will find everyone whose names are not in the Book of Life will be tossed into the Lake of Fire and eternal damnation. This is that second death when their spirit dies. There will be no second chances, no appeals and no hope. The Lake of Fire is the ultimate destination of everything wicked.

For believers, filled with the Holy Spirit, will stand before Christ and give an account of themselves. This judgment is for rewards for their deeds and their service to Christ. We will have to tell what we have done whether good or bad. Christians who have wasted opportunities to serve wisely will receive fewer rewards. Yet, they will still be saved. Any works or deeds for selfish reasons will not be counted. One should not be concerned at this judgment that a person might lose their salvation. But we must be warned that works and deeds will be judged and counted toward the crown the Bible say we may receive. It will be at this judgment that Christ will tell us how well we have done as a Christian. The motives of our heart will be exposed.

Romans 14:10b – 12 – “Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’” Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.”

Always keep in mind. For every decision or action we commit there is a consequence. Live according to God’s commands and His Ways and the consequences will be positive. What do you want Christ to say as you are bowed before Him giving an account?

GOD WANTS CHRISTIANS TO CHANGE

Many Christians are living life without the Holy Spirits help. “So my people come pretending to be sincere and sit before you. They listen to your words, but they have no intention of doing what you say.” Ezekiel 33:31 – NLT

You must ask yourself: “Do you really love God?” Many Christians give the appearance of following God, but they have their minds more on material things than God. There are those who live a life as if they were religious but inwardly they are greedy. Christ warned that we cannot love both God and money at the same time. If you have very little in material things it isn’t too difficult to say I give it all. However, the more we have the more difficult it is to live as if it all belonged to God and we are His stewards.

Many see going to church as a form of entertainment. They hear the message but fail to put what they hear into practice. Many enjoy hearing the music, meeting with people and enjoying the different activities but their lives don’t seem to change. They do not seem challenged to want to serve or tithe as the Bible teaches.

Acts 17:30 – 31 – “God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.” The Bible says we must be ready at anytime.

2 Thessalonians 2:9 – 12 – “The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.” NIV

We wonder how can this man become so powerful and attain such notoriety and loyalty from his backers. He is a tool of Satan and will be able to deceive many. Those who choose to follow this lawless man, God will send a powerful delusion so that they will believe his lies and Christians will fall away from their Christian beliefs.

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 29:1 – 2 – When wicked people rule, people groan. Are you hearing any groans lately? The Bible says that God hardened the heart of the Pharaoh and He will do also to those who rebel against Him. Their hearts will no longer respond to the truth. Are Americans rebelling against God? Do many seem to no longer respond to truth?

Romans 12:1 – 2 – “ Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

One thing I believe every Christian should consider is when God asked King Solomon how he wanted God to bless him. King Solomon replied by asking for wisdom and the ability to discern. Isn’t this something we should pray for daily? God made King Solomon extremely wise and discerning. Won’t this help us be a better Christian?

Here is how God wants us to change. We must be willing to sacrifice, to not conform to the ways of the world and renew our minds by repenting. We are called to be totally committed and surrender to the leading of the Holy Spirit. The greater we realize what God has done for us the greater will be our commitment. We are to live a new life and renounce sin in our lives. We must no longer do the questionable things we did in our old life. We must be careful in what we read and watch. We must not be afraid to challenge the ways of the world. We must not be overly proud, covetous, selfish, stubborn, arrogant or self-righteous. This will require, in many cases, a re-education and a redirecting of our minds and realize the Holy Spirit is within us to help.

If we are truly committed and wish to live as Christ taught, we are to continually pray that the Holy Spirit will transform us by giving us a new mind in a way similar to Christ’s. Keep in mind it is a gradual process. We are not to become impatient and frustrated because it doesn’t happen instantly.

OVER 700 MILLION CHRISTIANS ARE MISSING

Every newspaper in the world will have these headlines. What if you are left and reading the paper? Will you remember that the Bible says the world will be so terrible that if those days had not been cut short, no one would survive? There will be false messiahs and false prophets performing great signs and wonders trying to convince you they are the ones to follow. Christians have been raptured and you are now wondering what to do. Shouldn’t you be ready if you are not?

The Bible is very clear, no one, but God knows when Christ will return. We know neither the day nor the hour. Christ told us there would be a number of signs that we should be aware of, indicating when that time could occur. The four blood moons on Jewish religious days is certainly a sign that something very rare is about to happen. The purpose of my writing is to make those interested, aware that they must be spiritually ready for whatever transpires. We do know that a Jubilee year is 2017. We believe Christians should be knowledgeable that God is giving signs as a warning. Or, as the Bible says: it will be like in the time of Noah. The people were warned and no one but Noah and his family prepared for the flood.

I am writing only what I have studied and read. I have no gift to predict the future. Will 2017 be the beginning of the end times? You decide!

The Jewish Rabbi Judah ben Samuel prophesized in 1217 that a number of things would take place based on fifty year periods in the Year of Jubilee. Two of his visions were that the Turks would control Jerusalem for 400 years. The Jews would control Jerusalem in 1967. All of his predictions have happened but one: He said that the Messiah would return by 2017. This is not what I am saying I am only repeating what I read.

Matthew 24:3 – 14 – “As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

We are hearing of wars and rumors of wars and we are not alarmed. We are hearing of Christians being persecuted and killed because they are Christians. We know that America has enemies because we are a Christian nation. For we are told that we will be hated by all nations. We listened to CNN recently and they were telling of the many ministers and Christians that are becoming Atheists. We are seeing the love of God growing cold and many are being deceived. We are seeing murder in our streets and gangs running wild. There is a lot of hate and a lack of love in the world as seen on TV. We have the ideal president who is leading America toward becoming a part of a one-world-government. He is circumventing congress and bringing the Iran agreement to the United Nations.

Acts 2:20 – “The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.”

The Bible says we need to see the signs in the sky that tell us something is taking place. God used a star to announce the birth of Christ. He stopped the sun from setting so the Israelites could continue battle. We see the four blood moons falling on Jewish holidays announcing an event coming. The fourth blood moon will be on September 28, 2015. There are none in the foreseeable future, according to NASA. Is this the blood moon that announces the coming of Jesus Christ for the second time?

I Thessalonians 4:16 – 17 – “ For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.”

A very well-known extremely famous Rabbi, Yitzhak Kaduri at the age of 108, passed away in 2006. To give a comparison of who the Rabbi was, in America it would be similar to a Billy Graham. He left a note that was to be read one year after his death. In the note, he stated that he had met the Messiah. His note said that the Messiah is Jesus Christ. He stated that the Messiah would return after the death of Ariel Sharon. Ariel Sharon had been in a coma for over eight years. He died January 11, 2014.

Of course, many orthodox Jews believe the note was a hoax and unwilling to accept. However, there is ample evidence that the note could be authenticated. There are so many prophecies and signs that indicate that Christ could come at anytime. We all know that Christ’s return has been predicted for over 2000 years. What if these latest signs and prophecies are possible?

Many do not want to hear this type of information. However, I look forward to the rapture and the following 1000 years when Christ will rule. There will be no wars, armies, or military of any kind. We will have a body with no pain or sickness as well. With these different bodies, many will live the entire 1000 years. I am looking forward to living in peace and having a benevolent ruler that will keep the world calm. I believe there will be a love that we have never witnessed before. We will have a servant’s heart and we will do whatever is necessary to help each other. I will trade that kind of life for what we have now and the sooner it happens the better.

I believe that children 12 years old and younger that have not reached the age of accountability, will be there and many parents will be left on earth without their children. If you were left behind but your children weren’t, shouldn’t you consider accepting Christ as your Savior? First, you must have the faith to believe it is all possible.

WOULD KNOWING THE FUTURE CHANGE YOU? — Watch the heavens for a sign

If you knew the rapture, meeting Christ in the air, would happen in months, would it change your plans? Have you ever heard that a Jewish Rabbi, Judah ben Samuel, who lived from 1140 to 1217 predicted the future? They asked him where he received his information and he said the Prophet Elijah, who will precede the return of the Messiah gave it to him. (Don’t stop here, read a little further!)

He predicted that the Ottoman’s (Turks) would take control of Jerusalem in 1517 and control it for 400 years. Afterwards, Jerusalem for fifty years would become a desolate area. After those fifty years it would go back to the Jews which would be 1967. Both of these prophecies happened as predicted. If you will remember in 1967 Israel was attacked by Egypt, Jordan, Syria and the United Arab Republic and a Six Day War allowed Israel to take over all of Jerusalem as foretold. He then says fifty years later, the year of Jubilee, the Messiah will return and fifty years is another year of Jubilee and 2017.

Leviticus 25:8 – 12 – “‘Count off seven Sabbath years—seven times seven years—so that the seven Sabbath years amount to a period of forty-nine years. Then have the trumpet sounded everywhere on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement sound the trumpet throughout your land. Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan. The fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; do not sow and do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the untended vines. For it is a jubilee and is to be holy for you; eat only what is taken directly from the fields.”

I have been writing about the four blood moons with number three occurring on this past Easter and Passover, Saturday April 4th 2015. Read my last blog: Christian alert world tragedy possible. The next blood moon to occur will be September 28, 2015. This could be a sign that the rapture is coming, it could be a sign that the disastrous Tribulation is nearing. The Tribulation will be a seven year peace made with Israel by a man-of-peace, known as the Antichrist. You can tell our present administration in Washington hasn’t read the Bible or they would realize they will not be able to make a peace treaty with Israel and Palestine.

Can’t you see that God is transforming our world? Is America different than what it was six years ago? For those of us who are older, we saw a change taking place in the 1960s. There are a group of leaders who took the Bible and prayer out of our schools and public places. The Supreme Court said abortion was a woman’s choice. Gay rights and same-sex marriages were reasons God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. We have a president and administration that are anti-Jewish. This is a different nation than what I grew up knowing.

II Corinthians 4:4 – indicates Satan has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

If you believe history and the story told of Rabbi Judah ben Samuel don’t you think it is time to talk to unsaved spouses, children, friends and neighbors about Christ and salvation? The purpose of this blog is not to frighten you but to urge you to become a better witness for Christ.
Mark 16:15 – “He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

If the above prophecy is possible, we should be prepared for a tremendous spiritual revival. If people believed that Christ would return by 2017, we could see churches filled to over capacity.

I bring only what research tells me and what most of you have never heard. We have had three of the four blood moons in the past 500 years. The four blood moons, falling on Jewish religious holidays, is a sign of a major event occurring. WHAT WILL IT BE? There are no further four blood moons falling on Jewish religious days scheduled to occur according to NASA. Do we need future signs if Christ begins ruling as the Bible promises?

CHRISTIAN ALERT — WORLD TRAGEDY POSSSIBLE — Blood moon appears on this April 4th Easter and Passover UPDATED

God uses the sun, the moon and stars as a sign from heaven. He used a star at the birth of Christ. He used the sun to prove to the Israelites that He was God. He has used blood moons to designate a drastic change is coming. I am not a prophet but Scripture tells us to read the signs. If I am reading the signs correctly, it is very possible a world event will take place that could be tragic, if we are not prepared.

Many of you have told me that you believed President Obama was Muslin and not a Christian. Once I heard his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast and how he has been handling the situation with Israel verses Iran, I must admit, he sounds more pro Muslim than he does pro Christian or Israel. Then I wonder why God would allow Obama to be president at this particular time, if we are not getting close to the beginning of the 1000 years Christ will rule on earth. Coming is seven years of Tribulation and a one-world government led by the anti-Christ. For this to happen America needed to change.

As you read this, keep in mind the following Scripture: Genesis 12:3 – “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

God must keep His promise. If He says He will curse a nation that curses Israel, it will be done. Up until recently, God has been blessing America to be the most prosperous nation ever. If God has cause to curse America, what could actually happen?

Joel 2:30 – 31 – “I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.”

Acts 2:20 – “The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.”

On April 15, 2014 there was a blood moon or a lunar eclipse at midnight PDT. This occurred on Passover. Another blood moon appeared on October 8, 2014 on Feast of the Tabernacles. Then again a blood moon will happen on April 4, 2015 on Passover and again on September 28, 2015 on Feast of the Tabernacles. Anytime there have been four lunar eclipses in a row, where the moon turns blood red, each appearing on a Jewish holiday, a major event has occurred.

In 1492 during four blood moons the Spanish inquisition of Jews occurred. All Jews were told to convert to Catholicism or leave the country. Many of those who stayed were killed. That same year an Italian Jew, Columbus, who was mostly financially supported by Jewish investors, set sail and discovered the American continent at San Salvador. Some believe many Jews from the lost tribes of Israel migrated to England. From England they came to help settle America. America may have been created partly to protect Jewish citizens from the lost tribes, as well as militarily protection for Israel.

In 1948, the next time that there were four blood red moons falling on Jewish religious holidays, Israel on May 14, 1948 became a homeland to the Israelites and an official country. God began calling Jews from all over the world to return to their God-given covenant land as previously prophesied.

The next time this lunar eclipse phenomenon occurred was in 1967. Israel was attacked by Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon and they repelled their enemies. The war lasted six days and Israel captured Sinai, Golan Heights, Gaza Strip and the West Bank. They were able to unify control over Jerusalem their covenant land. The Soviet Union supplied most of their enemies’ military equipment and economic assistance. President Lyndon Johnson rallied to assist Israel. During this war there were a number of supernatural events that happened and the Jews believed it was because God was on their side.

Some believe by September, this year, when we again have the forth blood moon and a lunar eclipse falling on a Jewish holiday, some major event will likely occur. NASA indicates there are no more predicted in the future when they fall on Jewish holidays. Since Christ’s birth, there have been seven times these red blood eclipses have happened and only three times in the last 500 years. Will God wait another 100 years before a world disaster occurs?

When the House of Representatives invited Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to speak to congress, President Obama refused to meet with Netanyahu. It is another indication that our president is more pro-Muslim than pro-Israel. With the forth blood moon coming this September and if God decides to punish America as He said He would to any nation that cursed Israel as in Gen. 12:3 what could happen in the near future? Many Christians believe America was founded and prospered in order to protect Israel from her enemies. This is the first president whose actions cause one to believe he would never protect Israel. Are his present actions a form of cursing Israel?

I am surprised at the number of Jewish politicians and wealthy Jews who are anti-Israel as is our president. A number of Democratic house and senate members did not attend Netanyahu’s speech. A recent poll worldwide of over four million people showed that 26% of those polled were anti-Jews. This is why we are seeing an unusual amount of Jews returning from all over the world to Israel to live as predicted by the Bible.

In the past, four blood moons were a sign to Israel. However, this time America can witness the blood moons and they will not be seen in Israel except for the September 28, 2015 one. Are these blood moons a sign for America only? If so, what message could God be sending if it is not to alert Christians to be prepared and ready for whatever may happen this year. For those of you who may be risk takers and believe that you have time to develop a relationship with God later and be ready for eternity, may want to reconsider how you have been living. There is nothing in this world that will ever compare to what God has planned for those who will live with Him in eternity.

WHY ARE PEOPLE BLINDED TO CHRISTIANITY?

I recently watched CNN present a program why many previous Christians were becoming atheists. It seemed like the nation I grew up in has changed from being spiritual to being humanistic.

As I was reading the Bible I noted John 12:37 – 41 – “Even after Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him. This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: “Lord, who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere: “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn—and I would heal them.” Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him.”

I wondered, has God done the same thing to many Americans today? They were blinded and their hearts were hardened prior to Jesus being crucified. Is the same thing occurring prior to His second coming to meet the church in the air? Why are so many refusing to believe that Christ is the Messiah?

Isaiah 6:10 – “Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”

Are we to believe that man’s unbelief was an action of God? Did God want some people to believe and some people not to believe? We can’t believe that the God that Christ described would ordain that some people were not allowed to believe. Isaiah prophesize it would happen that people would not listen to what he was predicting. John then says that what Isaiah wrote was being fulfilled.

It was a belief by the Jews that God was responsible for everything that happened. They did not believe anything could happen outside the purpose of God. There were no coincidences. This is not true as we know God is not responsible for those who steal, cheat or murder. If what they believed was true, then it would be unfair to put anyone in jail if they did it, because they were only doing what God wanted.

What we believe this Scripture means is that people will not accept Christ because of their unbelief and God is using it for His purpose. We read in the Bible, as the end times are nearing, Christians will fall away. Is this another sign that Jesus is getting ready to return? There are a number of signs that indicate this might happen just as there were many signs that Jesus would be crucified. A number of preachers are giving sermons stating that God uses signs in the sky to warn people something is to take place. They refer to the star that directed the Magi to the birth of Christ. God caused the sun to stop and not go down for a period so they would believe. He has used the four blood moon solar eclipses falling on Jewish holidays that something would happen. Saturday April 4th a blood moon will occur and the final one on September 28, 2015. NASA does not foresee another four blood moons in the future. More information will be given in future blogs.

I cannot believe we would ever have an American president that would be anti-Semitic. If he has read the Bible, how could he not realize that God blesses those that bless Israel and curses those who curse Israel? Has he not read history concerning nations that have cursed the Israelites and that they received God’s punishment? What I am seeing is another sign coming from Washington, D.C. that we are entering the end times and the beginning of the Tribulation period. God knew the kind of President Obama would be and this would be what was needed if the end times are nearing.

Joel 3:2 – “I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.”

No one has the right to ask Israel to give up land that God has given to them as an inheritance. I have read a number of reasons why Israel should make a peace agreement. However, the Bible says that will not happen until the agreement is made with the help of the antichrist. Bush forty-one also wanted Israel to give up land and as a result he almost lost his home at Kennebunkport, Maine during the perfect storm on October of 1991 that 30 feet waves practically washed it down. I wish our politicians studied the Bible and made their decisions based on God’s ways and commands. There are so many proofs that disasters have stricken America when Israel was mistreated.

RESPONDING TO LIFE’S TRIALS

Why are Christians being persecuted? Why do Christians seem to have continual problems? There could be a number of reasons why. The first thing we are to learn is that God does not always intervene instantly to eliminate the problem. We are told as we approach the end times there will be much persecution of Christians. The Bible tells us that God allows problems to teach us something or He may be building our faith or character. God will often test our faith for us to see how much faith we have. We know we cannot please God without faith. Therefore, when all problems and persecutions occur do we get angry, frustrated or just give up? We must remember that being tested allows us to know who we are and how spiritually mature we have become.

Let us assume a crisis occurs in your life; how do you handle it? If you are a Christian, realize that the Holy Spirit either allows it or causes it to happen. God knows everything about us and He has a plan and purpose for our lives. He knows exactly what we need to endure to build our faith, make us more Christ-life or prepare us for His future plan.

Problems can be personal, such as addiction, abuse, fear, anxiety or depression. They can be dreaded or approached with a positive attitude. Some will try to ignore problems, run from them, take drugs or let them fester inside. There are individuals who try to carry the world on their shoulders. They worry about the problems in the Middle-East, North Africa and radioactivity coming from Japan. They are concerned that the stock market is going to crash; that banks are going to fail and they hide money under their mattress. They fret about global warming and the protection of insects. Bring it on—so I have something to worry about!

People often deal with problems differently. Problems may be opportunities to some and challenges to others. The way we approach and handle problems can affect us physically. God created us with certain chemicals in our system. How we see life and how we deal with problems could affect our body’s cells and our potential health. We can react positively, maintaining peace and joy in our hearts or negatively and get a migraine headache.

God has often intervened in my life when I am faced with a problem. I think the most important reaction is to realize that I am having a divine intervention. When the problem is solved I immediately thank God and tell how much I appreciate having the Holy Spirit in my life for protection and guidance. I call these times “God things” and share them with my family.

When a negative situation occurs, my reaction is to pray for God to provide heavenly wisdom so the problem can be solved. This is why it is so important to have a personal relationship with our Lord. If you had a partner that every time you had a problem they bailed you out, would you not be appreciative? God’s love for us is better than any human partner we could have. He is there to help us but, He also wants what is best for us. Problems handled correctly make us better people. Experience is a great teacher.

Since God knows everything prior to it happening, we need to continually pray for wisdom that we too can foresee potential problems before they occur. We also know that God can stop anything before it happens if it is not His will for our lives. We must never ask: “God why did you allow this to happen”? There are no coincidences; there is a purpose for everything.

Romans 8:27 – 28 – “And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
We know that God loves us and He will never give us more than we can handle. He says He will never leave us and will be with us no matter what we are going through. Do you have the faith to believe this?

One thing that I have learned studying the Old Testament is that God does not like it when we are disobedient. Often temptations are allowed to test whether we will be obedient. This is why I believe this could be the number one sin against God. The Israelites were continually being punished for their disobediences to rejecting God’s commands and His ways. How many of your problems or persecutions may be a result of your disobedience?

LIFE MUST HAVE MEANING TO BE HAPPY

The Bible say we must know our purpose in life.

Scripture tells us that we were created with a purpose and talents to excel in certain situations. Many struggle with what is their purpose in life and what has God planned for us. Those who understand their God-given purpose and find careers that fulfill what they believe is making a difference that is beneficial to society, feel achievement and happiness. A person, who becomes conscious of their need to serve others or solve problems and know why they exist, will be able to handle almost any circumstance. Achievement and success normally promotes happiness.

As we search for meaning in our lives, we must realize that we were created in the image of God and Christ. We were told to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. We were to rule over every living thing that moves on the earth. Our purpose was to live a holy life as Christ demonstrated and become a member of God’s family. This requires a personal relationship with God and Christ.

I heard an illustration that may help understand what is required. A lion was born in a zoo and lived in a cage for a number of years. They fed him and took care of every need. He had certain instincts that he could not use while in captivity, that often kept him frustrated. If one day, he was released and placed in a jungle would he know what to do to survive? He had never hunted, never had to defend himself against an attack, didn’t have the confidence to do what lions are suppose to do.

Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden and sinned. They were placed in a cage filled with sin and did not know how to live outside the garden. No matter what they did, sin continually consumed them. They no longer had a relationship with God; they did not know how to live a holy life and had no real purpose or meaning of life. They had children engulfed in sin. The older brother killed the younger brother because of anger resulting from sin.

Man is born and placed in a zoo, living in a cage filled with sin. He lives as he sees the world living. There was no way to be released from that sinful cage until Christ died for our sins and provided a way for redemption. That would release a person from sin’s hold and provide a person to live and obtain the image God created us to have. The one requirement was to accept Christ as one’s Lord and Savior. When that occurred, God gave man His Spirit to help us become the person that God had intended with a meaning for life and life’s purpose.

For us to be ready to live with God in eternity requires preparation. I have a friend who played professional basketball for a number of years. From an early age he prepared by shooting hundreds of baskets every day. The training and preparation professional athletes endure is tedious. Yet, many new converts do not believe to live a holy life requires preparation. If God created us in His own image how do we reach that goal and live a mature spiritual life? Can we become Christ-life without preparation? We are not turned loose in the jungle like the lion, we have been given the Holy Spirit to guide and direct us. If we spent the amount of time preparing as a professional athlete has, how much time would we spend reading the Bible and praying, developing a relationship with God and Christ? How much time have you spent preparing for your career?

We are told to pray without ceasing. Do we pray for heavenly wisdom and for God’s purpose for our lives? We are told that Christ came to free us from sin and give us an abundant life. Do you have a joyful, calm and peaceful life? We are told, if we develop a relationship with God and Christ we can have that kind of life.

Has the past life of living in sin, made it it difficult to walk out of the sin-cage that captivated you? Have fear, unworthiness and a lack of confidence kept you from becoming what you were created to be? Have you committed to being obedient to God’s ways or do you still feel comfortable living as the world lives.

Do you love God with all of your heart, all your soul and all your mind and your neighbor as yourself? Do you know God’s promises and do you trust Him completely? Psalms 112:1 tells us that happy is the person who delights in doing God’s commands.

My more than fifty years as a Christian, praying and reading my Bible daily and preparing for eternity, I have experience that God meets our every need and Christ gives us an abundant life like He says He will. It is fantastic to live outside of the sin-cage and have freedom.
