boyd-blog-pic-croppedDon graduated from Northwest Nazarene University.His first job was a high school coach at a small Christian high school. During the summers he was a production foreman for Birds’ Eye Frozen Foods.He went to work for Montgomery Ward in Longview, WA. He was transfered to Yakima, WA, Corvallis, OR, Great Falls, MT, Roseburg, OR, Nampa, ID, Kalispell, MT, Klamath Falls, OR, and finally to Las Vegas, NV. Las Vegas was one of the largest and most profitable Ward stores in the nine western states. After 23 years as a store manager and 13 years in Las Vegas he started his own business and has been a financial advisor and business consultant for the past 29 years. He has been an Elder and board member at Central Christian Church, LV for 20 years and 2011 was his last. For nine years he was chairman of Central Christian Church’s Relocation Committee having purchased 80 acres and building a 150,000 sq. ft. church. He has been a member of 11 churches and has been on six church boards. Don was a Rotarian for 25 years and was active in the LV Chamber of Commerce for a number of years. Don and his wife Dena have four children, five grandchildren and two great grand children.
