I recently read where a semblance of Noah’s Ark has been built in Dordrecht, Netherlands and also in Hong Kong. The Ark was 450 ft long and 75 feet wide. The first one took 120 years to build, the one in the Netherlands three years and the one in Hong Kong 17 years.
It reminds me that everyone on earth was destroyed, during Noah’s time, but eight people. When you are told everyone is doing it, making it o.k., you might remind them of what happened during Noah’s life. For those 120 years Noah preached to the people that there would be a flood. However, no one believed him because it had never rained previously. The earth was irrigated by a form of dew each day.
All the people were deceived and rejected God’s warning. When it started to rain and fear overcame them they ran to the Ark. But the one door had been closed and sealed shut unable to be re-opened. It was too late; they had failed to receive and believe the preaching of Noah. Don’t be misled by those telling you that there is more than one door or one way to eternal life with God. But there is still time to knock on that door and it will be opened to you.
We are entering a time when it appears the end time is again approaching. There will be false teachers who are moral, knowledgeable teaching that these are not the end times. We are told in these times things will change.
Matthew 24:6 – 8 – “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.”
There will be those who will tell you that there will be global warming or climate change caused by man’s use of carbon fuel. There will be times when men will tell us that we are not overspending ourselves into bankruptcy. There will be a time when we will have a world financial crisis and money will be devalued and famine and sickness will result. Countries will be unable to make entitlement payments and there will be riots in the streets of nations worldwide. Chaos will lead to one man taking control and promising to save the world. There will be false prophets with counterfeit signs, supernatural powers and they will speak with authority. If we get our eyes off Christ and focus on people we could be the ones Scripture is predicting will fall away. Cross references:
I Timothy 4:1 – 4 – “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,”
II Timothy 3:1 – 5 – “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.”
Many will go to church and there will be an appearance of godliness. They will know the Christian doctrine and follow Christian traditions. But they will lack worshipping God and they will not know how to love. We can be deceived by people claiming to be Christians but their behavior will give them away. Knowing Scripture is vital to Christian maturity. Those who have had little preparation and study will be easily persuaded by those teaching false doctrines.
Viewing those who have been interviewed on television gives a glimpse of how little people know. They will vote for a Hitler or a Stalin. They will follow religions that require you work your way to Heaven. They don’t understand God’s grace or His character. They don’t know Jesus Christ nor have they witnessed the Holy Spirit. If you were to ask: “Are you religious”? They believe they are.
DON’T BE UNPREPARED AND NOT HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE TO KNOW WHEN A FALSE TEACHER IS LEADING YOU TO GIVE UP YOUR FAITH.
